Dreamscene for Windows 7 and Non-Ultimate Vista

This is a link on how to enable Windows 7 dreamscene, or should i say a hack to enable it.

-set folder options to show hidden files
-go to…
C:\Users\#username#\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows DreamScene
-there should be 2 image files of the dreamscene running (1 hidden/greyed)
-set both files to “read only” & uncheck “hidden”
-right click desktop > personalise > desktop background
-under windows dreamscene, you should see both image files
-make sure both are checked by clicking check boxes next to them
-set Picture position: Fill
-save changes

How start mysql 5 in vista

It is a very common error when installing mysql in your vista machines.

A workaround for this is to open your command prompt with administrative privilege.

Then type this in your command prompt.

cd\
cd "Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.0\bin"
mysqld-nt

try connecting again.

This is just a temporary fix and should be good until mysql gets updated to work on this machines. :)

How to crack windows server 2008

This is a step by step instructions.

1. Start your DVD installation.

2. Select INSTALL NOW

3. Leave the license blank and uncheck the Automatically activate Windows when I'm online

4. Click start and All Programs

5. Go to administrative tools, then services.

6. Then go to SL Notifications then double click it.

7. Then select disabled from the startup type. Click OK.

8. And at the top, click on STOP SERVICE.

9. On Windows Explorer go to \windows\system32 right click on SLLUA file and click Properties.

10. Click on Advanced.

11. Go to Owner tab and click Edit.

12. Click other users or groups.

13. Click Advanced.

14. Click Find Now. Then click OK to everything :)

15. Click Edit.

16. Select Administrators and check FULL CONTROL box. Then YES to confirm.

17. Then click on OK.

18. Then delete the SLLUA file. Then YES to confirm.

19. The same procedure on SLUI and SLUINotify.dll. Follow steps 9 - 18.

Finally, you can test if the crack worked by changing your date. This didn't activate your Server 2008 but it removed the annoying popup and notifications and you can use your server 2008 forever.

AI Shougi

TOKYO--Marvelous Interactive's A.I. Series Shougi for the PSP seems to be a pretty standard Shougi game, albeit with a number of nifty features that makes it worth playing on a portable device. For those unfamiliar with the concept, Shougi is best explained as Japanese chess, since it is played with pieces that move around similarly to pawns, bishops, and other chess pieces. Of course, there are a number of differences, including that fact that a Shougi board is nine squares by nine squares, the fact that you can "queen" all your pieces, and the fact that you can use the pieces that you've captured from your opponent. A.I. Series Shougi features standard Shougi gameplay, as well as a number of twists.

Install 5 operating systems in a single hard drive

This might be a bit tricky for those who are new to installing operating systems and partitioning hard drive.

But you might wonder why do we need this many operating systems when all we really need is one? well, it is a matter of choice, I, being a computer geek, I find it useful to test my programs and systems on different operating systems.

Here's how:

1. First, partition you're hard drive and distribute the spaces evenly or as to you're preference. I distributed the spaces in my 160Gb Samsung HDD like this, for my XP SP3, I allocated 41Gb, for Vista SP1, I allocated only 20Gb, for my Windows 7 beta, I allocated 10Gb, for ubuntu 8.10, only 4Gb and for my Server 2003, I allocated just 11Gb and the rest of the spaces is allocated for my files,music and videos. :)

2. Install your first operating system. I installed Windows 7 Beta first since Windows 7 Beta will likely be removed once the RTM is released.

3. Install your second operating system. I installed Ubuntu 8.10 since installing linux is the trickiest and most prone to errors.

And please note that, instead of (hd#) (in our example it was (hd0), but it may be different on your machine) we're going to use /dev/sda1 - the partition we installed Ubuntu to.
You can determine this number by looking at the drive Ubuntu is installed to in the on-screen text (as in the screenshot above) to get the sd* value, then suffix it with the partition number (starting from 1). So if it says sdb and it's the second partiton on the drive, enter /dev/sdb2 at that prompt.

4. Install your third operating system, I installed Windows XP since installing XP is second to the longest install time.

5. Install your forth operating system, I installed Server 2003 since it automatically dual boot Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.

6. Install the final operating system, I installed Windows Vista since it is the only operating system supported by EasyBCD. Installing Vista is as easy as ABC :)

7. Now fixing the boot record, download a copy of EasyBCD then add the Ubuntu 8.10 by going to Add/Remove Entries then selecting the drive with Linux File System in it. Then click add entry.

8. Reboot.

I assumed that you have already knowledge on how to format and create partitions. This isn't actually a detailed tutorial for beginners but you can get the idea on how to create a multi boot system.

PHP and MySQL RSS feed

If you have a database driven site with regularly updated contents then it is a good idea to setup a RSS feed for your site. RSS (Really Simple Syndication) can be seen on almost every blog and websites this days.

In this tutorial, ill assume that you already know PHP and MySQL. First, youll need PHP to declare an XML document.

The "header" sets the HTTP header into text/XML so the rss reader knows that the content is XML.

Next step is, to declare the RSS version

<rss version=\"2.0\">";

Then, we create the actual XML document.

    <title>Feed title</title>
    <description>A description of the feed contents</description>
    <link>http://www.yoursite.com/</link> ";

What the code does is create the opening channel,title,etc.

Then, second, connect the PHP page into your MySQL.

Then, pull data into your database. Using the function mysql_fetch_array.

What the str_replace function is very important if the columns that you are getting data from have links to images.

Next part is where the xml is filled with data.
